ACHIEVEMENT ** ATTITUDE ** ADVENTURE
One of the most unique aspects of life at the Academy of Christian Leadership is our Friday Enrichment Program. The objective of this program is to build practical skills, explore our area, complement our curriculum, learn to work with a team, exercise, have some fun, take some risks, do some good, learn more about God and yourself, and promote a sense of adventure. Most Friday activities are optional, so this also gives students a day to catch up, and families an extra day to plan a trip or personal appointments.
Friday Enrichment includes many activities, such as full day sports, hiking at one of the many Columbia County conservation areas, working on a community service project, taking a trip to New York City, attending a movie or the theater, or just having some fun at a corn maze. Whether we spend the day skiing or watching a Shakespearean play or picking apples and baking pies for a soup kitchen, Fridays always leave a memorable impression on both students and parents.
Our goal in the 2010-2011 school year is to make Fridays better than ever with more programming and a variety of new activities. Although in the past we included many 'skill' building events (such as CPR or self-defense training), the coming school year will focus even more in this area, with expanded outdoor adventures on tap.

ACL encourages parents and siblings to participate in the Friday program whenever they can (when the activity is age-appropriate for younger siblings). We are a family focused school, and these events bring families together and allow parents to get to know the teachers and other students.
If you think about what you ought to do for other people, your character will take care of itself.
