Each year, the Academy of Christian Leadership (ACL) enters our students’ artwork in the Columbia County Fair, and typically we do very well by the judges.  This year was no different, and ACL won first place, with Hawthorne Valley taking second, and Darrow School earning third.  This is a wonderful accomplishment for our school, but especially for our students and our art teachers, Kyung Cozza and Terry Cozza.  In addition, Meghan Guerrero won an individual award for one of her pieces (pictured below).  Please view the slideshow below to see more student artwork. Congratulations to all of the students!
For immediate release

The Academy of Christian Leadership (ACL) announced today that it will suspend operations for the 2012-13 school year.  A variety of factors led to this decision.  According to Board President Pat Cavagnaro, “Our student numbers have been declining since 2008 and it is apparent that our families are struggling financially.  The immediate reason to close for a year is low enrollment.  But the decision was about more than money.”
